No New Posts Leader's Den

Located off center from the camp clearing are a small outcropping of rocks, elevated slightly to the area is higher then the rest of camp. As the pile slants upwords, and then suddenly creating a type of 'leveled' ground, a small cave-like hole can be seen. The opening was once a small hole only big enough for a hare, however in time it was shaped out to allow a feline access. Though it doesn't seem to be an underground area, it is - giving the leader an aray of tunnels where guests are entertained and of course, a cool place to let the leader lounge. It started out as a pile of rubble, but events must have changed it - also with eroding landscapes. At the end of the tunnel is where the leader is situated, and where it used to be hard rock, the ground is now blanketted in a light layer of moss. It's big enough to hold three or four cats comfortably, but you'll find in the center is a pile of dry grass used for bedding.

No New Posts Medicine Cats' Den

In a secluded part of the camp you can vaguely make out a small path through the rocks that twists out of site, it seems to be faintly in between the nursery and elders' den. If you follow it you enter into a small crevice that the WindClan's medicine cat calls home. The den is completely bathed in sunlight due to a hole in the cavern's roof and the medicine cat and their patients sleep atop a moss-covered rock in the center of the cave. Vines sweep the outside of the walls, and when a cat walks through, if they're not careful, they may get stuck - for thorns cover the inside of the entrance. A very huge room, it is one of the largest in the whole camp - a small pool to the left, nearest to the wall, for the patients to drink and herbs well-stocked at the back.

No New Posts Elder's Den

Near the fresh-kill pile is where the elders' den resides. Seeming to be the warmest place in the entire camp because of where it is placed - the sun is always right above and outside it - it isn't always sunny, but surely warm, helping many elders from catching colds. Scattered through the walls of cliffs are small pockets where a cat can easily nest. The elders make these their home. Extremly comfortable, apprentices may often complain why the elder's get to sleep in the perfect cubby-like holes. Felines often claim that they fell closer to StarClan when they sleep there; it might have something to do with the make up of the rock itself, WindClan being so close to the Highstones.

No New Posts Warrior's Den - 1 Viewing

Covered by a wide mossy thicket is the safe haven of the warriors den. Surrounded by thorns and ferns to protect its mouth, the inside is a comfy dark nest with sleeping spots made of moss. Residing right next to the apprentices den, it is the farthest from the medicine's cat den out of all the other dens.

No New Posts Apprentice's Den

Resting just opposite of the elder's home is where the apprentices of Windclan sleep. Circled by flowered bushes, protected by thorns and ferns, this makes for a very unique place. At first it may seem to be just like the Warriors den, looking like a wide mossy thicket, once you enter it dips into the ground and is covered in dry grasses and moss for bedding. Shrubbery and bushes surround the hollow to provide shelter from wind and rain, though the den itself goes further into the ground more than the others to provide enough sleeping space.

No New Posts Tallrock

This is where the WindClan Leader holds Clan meetings. It is a large boulder located beside the entrance to camp. Standing here you can see all around camp and watch for intruders, it gives you view of the entire camp. Rubble lines the outside of the large stone to help the leader climb up, and a smaller rock-like figurine is visible next to Tallrock where the deputy often sits. Don't forget, however, that only Blizzardstar, and his deputy at times, are able to sit on Tallrock.

No New Posts Center of Camp

A small sandy clearing makes up the center of the entire camp. You can often find felines eating here, along with other typical activities. Being the hub of activity, kits often come to play here - staying within area of the nursery of course - ; the warriors are usually seen sharing tongues around camp, whether it be by the fresh-kill pile or in front of the warriors' den; too many things happen here to count. Fresh-kill lies in the center of camp, perhaps a little to the left, surrounded by a barrier of rubble - the cause of a rockfall moons before.

No New Posts The Nursery

The most difficult place to find in the entire camp, this is where pregnant and nursing queens live until their kits become Apprentices. A collection of hollowed out, fallen logs serves as this den, and it seems like to be a tunnel in a sense, so that intruders will have a hard time finding the kits. Moonlight seeps through the holes of the bark to give the queens view of what they are seeing. Warriors have managed to carry, or rather push, large rocks at each entrance so there is only one way to enter - and an escape one at the back. The cats of WindClan have covered the other ends, the entrance, with brambles and brush, and an overhang of lichen grows from the top as well, keeping it dry and warm inside.

Board Description
WindClan Camp
Craggy valley walls protect the otherwise open WindClan camp, closing it in to a slightly wide clearing of brush and tall grass. The high winds of the uplands are unable to blow straight into the camp because of these barriers, as well as keep out most predators and invaders. However, the open ends of the valley are vulnerable, if you can get passed the overgrown walls of heather securing the inner sanctum of the camp.
